Challenge
The goal was to encourage children to engage with the natural world through curiosity, creativity, and play. The challenge was designing an experience that could make outdoor education feel less instructional and more exploratory, fostering meaningful connections through hands-on discovery.
Outcome
The resulting 180-page risograph-printed field guide combines creative prompts, educational activities, and hands-on exploration into a cohesive environmental learning experience. Through playful content, tactile production methods, and durable field-ready construction, the book invites users to slow down, observe their surroundings, and engage with their environment in thoughtful and imaginative ways.
